Licensing Our Music
Here performers, record, television, radio, publicity and other firms may obtain licensing and other information from GVL Inc. At GVL Inc. we have developed novel and simplified licensing systems for the benefit of performers, recording companies and venues such as radio, television, clubs, restaurants, etc.
GVL Inc. is the exclusive publisher and licensor of the music we license. By eliminating the profits of the "middleman" we are able to offer substantially lower licensing prices and better license packages.
License Types:
LibreFree Performance:
Our Broadcast license
for broadcasting on radio and performing in public places. When our logo
(see above) and the words LibreFree are applied to a CD, the CD will be
recognized by AM and FM radio stations world wide as a recording that can
be played on the air and in public places without payment or risk of copyright
infringement of author's or record company rights. The license applies
to an entire CD or for specified tracks. Radio stations (only) are required
to respect moral rights and give the name of the song, the artist and the
author, to benefit from this license.
Recording-Broadcast-Performance
All-In-One License
Our Recording-Broadcast-Performance
All-In-One license is issued directly to record companies and/or performers.
It is a single license for recording, radio/television broadcasting of
the recording and for live performance of the songs, excluding concerts
and wide broadcast television and radio performances.
The performer's license will be valid while the recording is still being
marketed and producing royalty payments. We
believe that this is a GVL Inc. innovation. We are not aware of any music
publisher that makes available an all inclusive phonorecord-performance
rights license.
With this license:
1. The performer
may: 1. Record the song. 2. Perform the song on radio or live at a night
club or a restaurant or most public places.
2. The recording
may be labeled for free broadcast by any radio station, worldwide.
3. Concert and wide
broadcast television and radio fees: These can be obtained from GVL
Inc. upon request. Special agreements can be negotiated.
The advantage of this license is its simplicity: Once a recording is made, the songs in the recording can be broadcast by any radio station or music bradcast system or sung by the performer in almost any place in the world without the traditional complexity of additional licenses. through this type of license the record producer is authorized to place the licensing information on the record itself.
Traditionally for a song to be played on many radio stations (could be thousands, in many countries), each station must have a license issued by the owner (or its representative) of the song and must submit to a tedious accounting and auditing schemes set by the license issuer. With our simple system, that is history. This license (royalties) will cost less than traditional record only license, and the recordings are more attractive to broadcasters and others.
Live Performance
License (nightclubs, restaurants, radio and television)
This license is
for performers that have are not covered by the Recording-Broadcast-Performance
All-In-One License and for venues that wish to perform any music in
our catalog.
Radio Performance
License
This license is
for radio stations that wish to broadcast any music in our published recordings
catalog or for performers that wish to have their recordings played on
the radio. Minor reporting is required. Recordings which are not
in our recording catalog are presumably unlicensed by GVL Inc. and cannot
be broadcast under the terms of this license. This license is free of cost.
Movie / Commercial
License (Synchronization)
Our policy is to
issue these licenses directly to movie producers or publicity companies.
All license terms are negotiated.
Free Concert License
This license is
for the performance of our music in a concert where the entrance is free
of charges, performes are not paid and the entrance is available for the
general public. This license is issued upon request, free of cost through
e-mail.
Free Non-Profit
License
Free licenses can
be requested by non-profit organization for concerts, recordings and publishing
projects, subject to GVL Inc. acceptance.
Musical Materials
We will send, free
of cost MP3 CD, cassette recording and/or sheet music to bona fide performers
or producers who are interested in recording our music.
